Getting Started with menuapp24
A complete step-by-step guide from creating your account to having a live QR code menu on your tables.
Getting your first digital menu live is simpler than most restaurant owners expect. The whole process — from creating your account to having a working QR code on your tables — takes less time than a single reprint run. This guide walks you through each step in detail.
Before You Start
You do not need technical knowledge, design skills, or a large block of time. What you do need: a device with a browser, your current menu information (item names, prices, and categories), and optionally photos of your dishes.
Step 1: Sign Up (Free, No Credit Card)
Go to menuapp24.com and create your free account. The free plan is not a trial — it is a permanent tier with no time limit and no credit card required. Enter your email and password, confirm your email address. Done.
Step 2: Set Up Your Restaurant Profile
Add your restaurant name, type of establishment, and location. Upload your logo if ready. This takes about two minutes.
Step 3: Create Your Menu Structure
Set up your category structure before adding items — Starters, Mains, Desserts, Drinks, or whatever fits your restaurant. Think about this from your guests' perspective: how do they naturally navigate your menu? Most restaurants do well with four to six categories.
Step 4: Add Your Menu Items
For each item: Name (required), Price (required), Description (optional but strongly recommended), Photo (optional but high-impact), Allergen information (optional but important).
Work through one category at a time. Use the preview button to see how your menu looks as you build it.
Step 5: Publish Your Menu
Hit Publish. Your menu immediately gets a unique, permanent URL and a QR code is generated automatically. From this moment on, every change you make is reflected immediately at that same URL.
Step 6: Get Your QR Code Live
Download your QR code in high resolution and print it for:
- Table tent cards — one per table
- Entrance or host stand display
- Window display
- Takeaway packaging
Test the QR code after printing. Scan it with your phone and confirm it loads correctly and looks good on mobile.
Step 7: Extend Your Digital Presence
Add your menu URL to your Google Business Profile, Instagram bio, Facebook page, website, and reservation confirmation emails.
What Comes Next
Your menu is now something you can update instantly, at any time, at no cost. Most importantly, it changes how you think about your menu — from a fixed document you reprint occasionally to a live asset you maintain continuously.
